Acoustical Sealant
Sound is like water and can travel through any small opening, apply an acoustical sealant to the perimeter of walls and ceilings.
A clean tight joint doesn’t need any treatment, but any gaps where panels meet should be filled with acoustical caulking.
Use Insulation
Ensure SONOpan is protected from elements during installation and until the project is complete
Electrical, speaker and light openings
Box in electrical outlets and pot lights with SONOpan & acoustical sealant where possible for optimal sound blocking and soundproofing.
NEVER install electrical outlets back to back. Maintain 30” spacing between outlets.
